In the last lesson of piplanning.io RTE Cockpit course, you will learn how you can set up Iterations for a PI session: naming each iteration that we set at the beginning and specifying the dates. At the very end of the video, we'll also give you a pro tip, which comes in really handy when it comes to setting up a PI Planning session, among the many things to do.This brings us to the end of the course. Congratulations! Head to the piplanning app and check your work.
Now we are already at the last step "Iterations". On this page, we give a name to each of the five iterations that we set under General at the beginning. Be careful when selecting the first date. If you remember, we had set the duration of our iteration in days under General. This now pays off. When we select the first date, we fill in all the dates automatically. Be sure to choose the correct one, because the automatic filling only works the first time. So if you choose the wrong start date you have to manually change each date to correct it. But once we have filled it in, we can click Next again. Hey, congratulations. You have created your first PI session. Click on "Start piplanning app" and go directly to the planning environment to review and enjoy piplanning.io.
Pro tip: If you get stuck somewhere but you know for sure how many iterations and which teams in which order attend. Click through the whole process and finish it to save it. Then you can go back and modify all the details.
This 10 lessons course shows you, the RTE & STE on how to set up the RTE Cockpit for PI Planning sessions from the fundamentals to advanced tips. After watching this course you will be able to manage ARTs, invite Users, connect your ALM tool, and prepare a PI session.
